DescriptionNine glass lantern slides bound with black tape covering various subjects but focused on properties of light, diffraction, spectra, Lyman lines, etc. The slides are numbered on paper labels, and they have subject labels.

This last slide has images taken from a textbook. Figure 1 shows a diagram of "An Atom of Sodium" and Figure 2, "A Steam Radiator." The latter shows a dog chasing a cat on a treadmill generating steam. The caption points out that the diagram of the atom looks as much like an atom as the diagram of the radiator is like a real steam radiator. The artist, who had never seen a steam radiator, drew the radiator by only hearing it through a brick wall.
