DescriptionAn assortment of lenses are currently stored in a cardboard box that originally held stationery from the Harvard Cooperative Society. In brown ink on the side of the box is written, "Cylindrical Lenses." Below this is a pencil note from David P. Wheatland stating that he received the box from Agassiz Station in 1969.
The lenses include:

1-inch double convex lens, with 2.5 inch focus, rough edged, scratched. It is wrapped in acidic paper.
1998-1-0413b:
7 American Optical Company, Centex, plano-cylinder opthalmic lenses, index 1.523, axis 47mm, different powers, all held in salmon-colored envelopes except for one in an ivory envelope. One is a part only.
1998-1-0413c:
2 American Optical Company, Centex, sphero-cylinder lenses, axis 47mm, different powers, held in a pink and an ivory envelope.
1998-1-0413d:
1 Triple Alliance, Centex, plano-cylinder lens, axis 47mm, in an ivory envelope.

2 neutral density filters stored in Globe Optical Company salmon-colored envelopes. Marked "Pl Smoke 47."

2 neutral density filters formed by cemented pairs, each stored in an unmarked ivory envelope.

2 small glass disks in a similar plain envelope.
1998-1-0413h:
3 yellow filters of different densities, square glass with edges wrapped in black paper, marked in pencil I, II, III and Cramer.
