Description:
A hydrometer consisting of a metallic piece that begins as a a straight narrow rod, them becomes a hollow sphere following which there is a narrow neck and a smaller oblong weight at the end.

The long narrow part is marked with scale that goes between 0 and 25. There is a companion hydrometer (DW0224b) to this one, whose scale picks up where this one ends.

FunctionThis device determines the specific gravity of liquids. When placed inside a liquid, it floats upright and the point of the scale coinciding with the liquid's surface indicates the specific gravity, in this case in Baumé units.
