One of a set of four mahogany organ pipes shaped as polyhedrons. This one is shaped as a cube.

It is stamped on the side in white: 22-20.
An oval paper sticker reads: 20-12-11.

FunctionThe organ pipes in this set all have equal volume in spite of their different shapes. They were used to demonstrate that pitch is determined by the mass and volume of air moved, not by the shape of the resonating cavity.
