Description:
This small spyglass is made of wood and brass. The objective lens is 1 1/8 inch (2.7 cm) in diameter, but has an aperture stop behind it similar to those found on very early telescopes. The opening is only 1/4 inch (.7 cm) in diameter!
There is one draw tube. It consists of three segments screwed together. Each segment has a lens.
The eyepiece has no lens, and is a tapered column with a sliding cover. The eyepiece is threaded like the draw tube sections and can be attached to any of them.
The wood has lost its stain and varnish.
