Description:
A fluorescent light tube consisting of two cylindrical glass chambers with large metal electrodes at one of their ends, including electrical wires that cross the glass tip to the outside, connected to each other by a very thin tube at a right angle to both of the cylinders at a distance about 2/3 of their length starting from the ends with the electrodes.

The cylindrical chambers are darkened near the electrodes.

FunctionWhen the electrodes are connected to a large voltage source, this tube produces light with the characteristic color (the hydrogen spectrum) that is used for research and calibration in spectroscopy.
