Description:
MAC/WIG model No.1545, code named "VESTRY". Three electrode, thin platinum target x-ray tube; sparked asbestos regenerator. Not fully electrically connected.

Signedon tube, stamped: Macalaster, Wiggin Co.
FunctionThe target comes from a side tube that is at a 45 degree angle to the concave cathode, while the second anode is aligned to the cathode. The asbestos regenerator would restore the optimum gas pressure inside the tube.

This particular one sold for $18.00 in 1915.
