Description:
Two terminal, thin platinum angled targets; spherical bulb with extension for cathode; sparking carbon regenerator; focusing cathode. Has broken evacuation seal.

FunctionAn early, simple, x-ray tube. The shape of the cathode is designed to help focus the electrons on a small area of the angled platinum anticathode, which is the only anode present. This model has a regenerator to restore the optimum gas pressure inside the tube, as well as a connection which is broken.
