This is a printed page from The Graphic, a widely-read nineteenth-century periodical. There are three vignettes within this one image, which seem to be unrelated. On the top there are two portraits of the Reverend H. Latham and the Right Reverend W. Walsham How, D.D. In the middle, there is a mountainous maritime seascape which depicts "the French transport 'Shamrock' being towed off the Niyanawella Rocks near Galle, Ceylon by the P.&O. Steamer 'Rosetta.'" The bottom scene shows various views of the Lick Observatory grounds, building, and telescope in Mount Hamilton, California, which is described as "now finished and ready for work."
This print dates to February 25, 1888.
