Telegraph apparatus mounted on a grey ceramic plate with a black metal foot. Several cylinders of various sizes are in the center, connected in the back by crossed, black metal bars. Brass springs run from the horizontal bar to the base. Two thicker brass coils run from the vertical bar to brass posts at the back of the base, adjustment knobs on the back ends of the posts. An arm extends out of the post, perpendicular to the springs, with an adjustment dial on the end. A brass arch extends from the base around the cylinders, conforming to the shape of the cylinders. There is a thin black metal plate in front of the cylinders, attached to rods which are in turn attached to the brass arch. There are three flat pieces of metal, for connection to a battery, in the front of the base, and two on the right side near the front.
