Description from card:

366a - Coil of several layers of bell wire 53 turns per layer wound on hollow form with rectangular wooden ends with 2 binding posts on one of them.

366b - ditto to a, however, is broken beyond repair, moving from Perkins to Allston Burr to wire stock Dec. 1976.

366c - A smaller coil with smaller wire on wood form with hollow center and round ends - of a size to fit into above coils a & b.

FunctionFor experimentation and demonstration of the high voltages induced in a secondary winding when the current in the primary windings is abruptly disrupted. Coil c fits inside of coil a and one acts as the secondary winding of the other.
Curatorial RemarksPicture also shows b, which was destroyed moving from Perkins to Allston-Burr. Card also notes that the object was "Junked Dec '76".
