Description:
A black and white photograph made with very high contrast. Skinner is sitting on a chair by a wooden table. On the table is one of his experimental boxes (black), with a white pigeon inside.
Skinner is wearingn a white shirt with rolled-up sleeves, a tie, and lab overalls. He is not wearing eyeglasses.
Photograph taken at his laboratory in Indiana University, where he was chair of the Psychology Department between 1945 and 1948, before his appointment at Harvard.
