Description:
This is a Bausch & Lomb automatic laboratory microtome. It is has a rectangular base with a metal pan, a feeding mechanism, a calibrated selector of thickness, and a knife block with a clamping screw. The knife is missing. This instrument can be operated automatically, or manually by means of a hand lever.

A wooden box for storage is provided. It has dovetailed wood. An indentation on the left and right sides serves as a handle.
