Description:
This compound microscope has tube of 115 mm fixed length. It is threaded for ocular and objective. The focus is by rack and pinion. The sleeve in which the tube slides is brazed to a flange attached to the top of a round post. The base is painted cast iron and has a ball-and-socket joint for the post. The rectangular brass stage has a clip in the shape of a lyre. The substage mirror is concave.

Compare to CHSI inv. 1024, which is by the same maker and attributed to Dollond.
