Description:
This scale is gold-toned, with a flat glass pan on a counterweighted beam. Scale instrument display is angled away from the balance arm, encased in a fan-shaped enclosure with a viewing window on each side. The scale display is marked in increments of 20, from 0-500, and has a broad flat indicator.

Below the display window, it has a decorative metal plate inscribed, "47469,".

Below the display assembly his another viewing window, through which the counterweight may be seen. The display and viewing window assembly are curved to form a decorative oval base for the scale. the base rests on three legs, one of which has a leveling screw. The base supports the pan which is made of glass.
