Description:
This is a rotary microtome. The instrument is made of steel and cast iron. The rectangular bed plate has two posts for the hinge of the arm at the back, a pair of clamps for the knife at the left, and a pair of bearings for the crank shaft at the right front all cast with it. The feed mechanism is a screw driven by a ratchet wheel and arm.
