Description:
A series of eight thin gas discharge tubes, labelled and mounted vertically on a mahogany frame behind a glass pane: the tubes contain from left to right nitrogen, oxygen, argon, hydrogen, neon, helium, krypton and xenon. The eight tubes are connected in a way that they are all activated simultaneously by a single knife switch on the back of the frame. The knife switch is connected to a closed wooden box that probably contains electrical components.
Pinned to the back of the frame is a typewritten table with the proportions of the gases present in the air.
