Description:
1045g is a Tolles workshop pattern or demonstration model.

It demonstrates the method used by Tolles and Dalton in the fine focus of their objectives by means of threads in the nosepiece.

The model is made of brass and nickel. It has exposed threads and a rotating collar.

An old tag reads: "Tolles fine / adjustment: -- / Presented by / Mr. Chas. X. Dalton / Feb. 15, 1901."

A later tag was added by David P. Wheatland and describes the mechanism.
