A print of an aerial photograph of the West Point Military Academy taken from the North-East. The Hudson river can just be seen on the lower left corner of the picture.

One of a series of 17 photographs and prints stored in the same envelope. They include aerial photographs, military pictures, landscapes, and a graph. They probably come from the Blue Hill Meteorological Observatory.

ProvenanceDavid Wheatland wrote in the back of 1998-1-1074o that the photograph came from the former Harvard Institute of Geographical Exploration on Divinity Avenue. It may, however, have been transferred to the Blue Hill Meteorological Observatory before being recovered by him.

Some of the objects in the 1998-1-1074 series, including "o" have numbers written with pencil on them. The number on 1998-1-0174h suggests that these numbers correspond to pages in an album in which they are listed for reproduction.

All the photographs with a number on the back are more likely to come from the Institute of Geographical Exploration.
