Description:
1998-1-0584 are two sets of Hartnack objectives with cup diaphragms.
1998-1-0584a has serial no. 20266.
1998-1-0584b has serial no. 20277
Each case is made of wood covered in faded black leather. The interior of the lid is padded purple silk. The hinges have purple ribbons covering some of the brass hardware. The box bottom is lined with cardstock covered in purple silk. The objectives and cup diaphragms are set into a wooden block.
The block stamped 20266 has three objectives marked 2, 4, and 7, and sit in sockets marked 2 (in pencil), 4, and 7. There are 3 cup diaphragms in a row in front.
The block marked 20277 has two objectives: 5 (in an unmarked socket) and an F 1 1/2 v/v in a blued mount signed by Hartnack & Prazmowski. It sits in a socket marked 4. The rest of the openings are empty.
