FunctionTwo minute recordings to be played on an Edison phonograph. Grooves in the wax cylinders are converted into electrical impulses for the reproduction of sound.

ProvenanceDr. Karl Dubpurnell. Part of a gift that also included an Edison Gem Phonograph (8503) and two phonograph horns (1997-1-0981a,b). Maybe 8506 and 8507 were also part of this gift.
