Kodak's Instamatic series of Cameras was introduced in 1963, and were the first set of cameras to use the new 126 format. They were marketed as "easy-to-load" and were quite inexpensive, making them a very big success. Most Instamatics, like this one, were simple point-and-shoot cameras, made of plastic. Later models, such as this one, used Flashcubes or ("X" models) Magicubes without a flash adaptor like earlier models. This model comes with an instruction manual and Kodak Magicube extender inside the carton.
