A copper pot that has been custom-fitted with two tubes. The first is a simple two-inch straight tube protruding horizontally from near the edge of the pot. The second one was soldered to the bottom on one side of the pan, is about 7 inches long and ends in a copper funnel.

FunctionThe exact function of this instrument is unknown. Modifications make it easy to put liquids in and pour them out without direct manipulation.
Curatorial RemarksThis post has several numbers of unknown meaning marked underneath: 2, 87, 92, 9, 92, 13, 35, 752, 53, 22, 1, 35, 31, 64, 15, 95, 651, etc. They are similar to the old Harvard inventory numbers, as if someone was practicing stamping underneath that pot before doing it for real on instruments.
