Description:
This is an adjustable microscope and laboratory illuminator. The lamp housing is finished in crinkled black enamel. It is attached to a chromium-plated metal rod, which sits on a heavy, circular cast-iron base. It is adjustable in height and locked with a thumb screw.

The multi-filament bulb is 100 watt, 120 volt "Sunray.". A silvered glass reflector is behind the bulb. The electrical cord comes out of its socket at the bottom of the lamp housing. The metal housing has a chimney.

The condensing lenses, diaphragm, filters, and the front structure to hold these are missing.
