Description:
A nickel-plated ring is designed to slip over the eyepiece of a microscope. A vertical post carries the housing for two prisms and serves as a swing-away mount.
The camera lucida has a small leather-covered wooden box, lined with black velvet. A scrap of paper inside the lid is marked in ink: "This camera belongs to B. L. Robinson's personal Zeiss microscope."

Historical AttributesThis camera lucida was used by Benjamin L. Robinson with his personal Zeiss miscroscope. Robinson was curator of the Gray Herbarium after 1892 and Asa Gray Professor of Systemic Botany, 1899-1935.
