Description:
Hexagonal sterling silver tube with a seven-wire whisk inside and a groove on the side. The middle wire has a round silver ball on the end. The whisk moves in and out of the tube by pushing a hexagonal silver collar which moves along the groove. There is a silver link on the closed end of the tube.

FunctionMost likely used to stir martinis.
Curatorial RemarksOriginal number DW0101e indicates it was part of group of what David Wheatland called a "thousand and one" collection. However, on the 3" x 5" inventory card DW101e is a brass case & inkwell. It was discovered in a miscellaneous Wheatland box during the move of 2004. The tag still reads DW0101e, however.
