The Polaroid "Cold-Clip #193X" was designed to develop instant film in cold weather, namely the 100- and 80-series peel-apart packfilms. (Recommended when temperature was below 65°F.) It was clipped at the back of several models of cameras. It consists of two pieces of metal taped together. Instructions are found on the clip itself in several languages. The "X" either means experimental or it was simply the designation given the clip for the international market.
