Description:
This wooden cabinet (the top one in the picture) holds pieces of paper that are flat gray on one side and white on the other. Each pull-out shelf has a slightly darker shade of gray than the one above, like a histogram (at the bottom, it looks more black than gray). These pieces of paper could be used, for instance, to create a gray-toned Mondrian, which Edwin Land did for some of his Retinex color theory experiments.
In one of the slots there is 1973 copy of the Fortune magazine.
