DescriptionAll folding SX-70 cameras have common features, according to the Land List. This one is thus equipped with a four-element 116 mm f/8 glass lens and a front-cell focusing system via a geared wheel on top of the lens/shutter housing (or SLR, Single-Lens Reflex viewing and focusing system). It also has an electronic shutter, a programmed automatic exposure system, an auto flash exposure system, a built-in flashbar socket for flash and a socket for an electrically-actuated remote shutter release. It has a chrome-plated plastic body with genuine leather covering.
The SX-70 is the first Polaroid camera using the integral print films.
This particular one appears experimental. On a dymotype put on the camera's side one can read: "0-1 LAB 72762". The "0-1 LAB" means 1 Osborne St., the Polaroid lab found at the corner of Osborne and Main Streets in Cambridge, MA.
This camera is described in more details on the very useful Land List website.
