This delineascope, or slide projector, was used for projecting opaque printed matter, photos, slides or gels onto a screen. It is a 1100-Watt machine with a 1000-Watt lamp.
The OPAQUE projector was designed and manufactured by the Americal Optical Company starting in the early 1960s. The OPAQUE and OVERHEAD projector product lines were sold to KALART VICTOR in the mid 70s and then sold again to NEUMADE in the 80s. NEUMADE continues to manufacture the same units with the same parts that were used in the orignal American Optical units.
On the following
website, where the above information was taken, there is also a description of the parts of this projector, with their manufactuting numbers.
