Description:
Wooden rectangular case with black top panel. 2 circular windows, larger one with an arched scale (0-100) and stylized needle. Smaller one with (fixed) vertical line painted on window and moving scale underneath. It has 5 electrical connectors and a heavy switch.

A General Radio type SCR60, serial number 190.

FunctionWavemeters can be used to check the wavelength of a strong signal source. It can also check the output of a transmitter for harmonics.

The output of this instrument is an electric current, which is read using a galvanometer, which is included.

This wavemeter was likely used in accordance with radio and military operations
