Description:
Camera with twin lens reflex system and Copal-MXV shutter. The taking lens (below) is an 80 mm f/3.5 Lumaxar lens (serial 38814). The viewing lens (above) is an 80 mm f/3.5 View-Lumaxar lens (serial 74652). There is a knob on the side to adjust the ASA and DIN film numbers. Inside the cover, there is a tag saying to "USE 120 FILM ONLY". It is equipped with a vinyl neck strap.

Historical AttributesThis camera has been significantly altered for portable use in color vision Retinex study (early 1980s). A receiver was added on the back plate. Silicon chips (one by Victoreen) around a small hole to let light through for balancing. Don Rogers worked on it up until 1986 or so. Edwin Land could take it with him.
ProvenanceThis object belonged to Edwin H. Land and came from the Rowland Institute, Harvard University. Gift of the Edwin H. Land Family.
