This is a blue and white poster describing the development of astronomy in fifteenth- and sixteenth-century Europe. It is illustrated by facsimiles of six period prints (arranged along the left and right edges of the blue portion of the poster ), as well as by photographs of a sixteenth-century astrolabe (center) and a fifteenth-century armillary sphere (bottom center).
The poster, produced by the Whipple Museum of the History of Science, highlights that museum's collection of early modern astronomical instruments.
