DescriptionThe calculator-clock is stored in a black, rectangular vinyl pouch that opens at one end with a folding over flat that snaps closed. The case has a vinyl loop attached at the back for hanging.
The calculator-clock mechanisms are stored in a roughly rectangular grey and black plastic casing. There is a raised section on the left-hand side that houses a LED screen that displays blue numerals. The display screen is outlined with a thin white border. On the leftmost edge, each inside a white outlined rectangular box, one on top of the other, is written "TIME", and "COMP".
There is a row of buttons underneath the display screen. On the left is a black button with a vertical white line on the top that slides in a track cut out of the top panel of the instrument. Underneath the track is written "MODE" in white letters. Users slide the button in the track to determine what function the device will perform. The possible options are labeled with white letters above the track as follows, from left to right: ST [stop watch], OFF, TIME [clock and alarm clock], COMP [calculator], SET [the clock and alarm clock]. A white line proceeds from the top edge of the track to each option, and users align the white line on the top of the button with these lines to select a function. To the right of the mode button is a rectangular, shiny metal button with a light blue strip in the center. It is labeled "TIME" above in white letters. It is labeled "START/STOP" underneath in white letters. To the right of this button is an identical button with a white strip instead of a blue strip. It is labeled "LAP" underneath in white letters. Underneath both bottom labels is written "STOP WATCH" in which letters. A thin white line connects either side of this label to the labels beneath these two shiny buttons. To the right of the button with a white stripe is another identical button with a red stripe. It is labeled "ALARM" above in white letters. Underneath is a yellow diagram of sound waves moving outward. Underneath these buttons, on a silver and forward slanted edge of the instrument casing, there is a round speaker, constituted of small holes, near the leftmost edge.
The right half of the top panel of the device houses a key pad for the calculating function. There are four rows of five square, black plastic buttons with a white symbol written on top. From top to button, and left to right, the buttons are labeled as follows: "TM", "7", "8", "9", "÷" / "DT", "4", "5", "6", "x" / "C", "1", "2", "3", "-", "AC" (written in orange instead of white), "0", ".", "=", "+".
There is a square, silver label on the left-hand side of the bottom panel of the device. Instructions for setting the clock and the alarm are printed in black lettering on it. There is an L-shaped battery holder, accessible from the bottom panel. The holder is covered by a black plastic lid with an opening butting. The button consists of several horizontal, parallel lines with an upward pointing arrow and the word "OPEN" embossed near one edge of the lid.
