anemometer
Of a circular shape, this anemometer was used in conjunction with its twin anemoscope (#2007-1-0019). The dial measures the speed of wind in miles per hour, from 0 to 100, the smallest division being the mile. This is not a precision instrument, so may have been used with a recorder (like, for instance, #1998-1-1662). There are holes on the outside of the casing to fix the anemometer vertically.
