Henry Edgeworth who described himself as "The only Person in this City who served a regular Aprenticeship in instrument makein." Edgeworth appears to have arrived in Bristol from Dublin, where he may have served an apprenticeship with John Margas, a London instrument maker forced by bankruptcy in 1858 to move to the Irish capital.
