Scientific instrument manufacturer American Instrument Company (AMINCO) was founded in Silver Spring, Maryland, in 1919. The company developed, among other things, equipment designed to handle fluids under extreme pressures, beginning in 1923, as well as hygrometry equipment, beginning in the 1930s.
