Marion V. Brewington

1902 - 1974

Marion Vernon Brewington, maritime historian, was born in Salisbury, Maryland, on June 23, 1902. He set up the exhibits in the Kendall Whaling Museum in Sharon, Massachusetts in the autumn of 1955, he came to Salem in January 1956 as assistant director and curator of maritime history at the Peabody Museum.
