Rousseau Frères
1820 - 1870
The exact dates of Rousseau Frères are not known. However, it is known that they manufactured and distributed various chemicals and minerals throughout the 19th century.
An edition of the New Scientist from 1989 (Vol. 121, No. 1648) contains an article entitled "From Rags to Riches: The Story of Aluminum" that describes the expansion of Rousseau Frères' products to include aluminum and indicates that Rousseau Frères owned and operated a sodium factory at Glacières, just outside of Paris (page 61).
