Underwater Sound Laboratory, Harvard University

The Harvard Underwater Sound Laboratory was established at Harvard in 1941 and operated there until 1949 when it was merged with the Columbia Laboratory in New London, CT, to establish the Naval Underwater Sound Laboratory.The Laboratory researched and designed new equipment to improve underwater detection systems.
