Civil Engineer from Danvers, Massachusetts.

A descendant of Edward Holyoke, former President of Harvard University. According to the instrument card of 5181, he surveyed the Pingree farm in 1878. A copy of a map of the farm exists in CHSI, object number 1998-1-1134.

David Wheatland acquired several instruments of Edward Holyoke and also of Andrew Nichols from one of his descendants, Andrew Nathan Nichols.
