Henry Wild Surveying Instruments Supply Co., Ltd.

1924 - 1954

Better known by its logo and later name, Wild Heerbrugg, this instrument company was established in 1921 as the Heinrich Wild, Werkstätte für Feinmechanik und Optik in Heerbrugg. In 1924 a joint-stock company took over Heinrich Wild, and the firm was renamed Verkaufs-Aktiengesellschaft Heinrich Wild's Geodätische Instrumente. In the English-speaking world, the company did business as Henry Wild Surveying Instruments Supply Co., Ltd.

In 1937 a logo was adopted for the company: WILD / HEERBRUGG (with Heerbrugg in a box). In 1954, the company name was formally changed to Wild Heerbrugg AG.

See the Wild Heerbrugg (corporate history) entry for more details about the company.
