View All Objects
Brandes Products Corporation was 1908 established in Toronto, Canada, and had offices in Newark, New Jersey and New York City. It was a well known maker of headphones and radio speakers, with production beginning in 1917.

The business was acquired by the American Telephone and Telegraph Company (AT&T) in 1922. A British subsidiary was established in 1924 to produce headphones and soon horn and paper cone speakers.

In 1926 the parent company was renamed to Kolster Radio Corporation of America. In 1928 the British branch was renamed to Kolster-Brandes.
