AB SKF

AB SKF is a Swedish manufacturing company founded in 1907 by Sven Gustaf Wingqvist in Göteborg [Gothenburg in English], Sweden. It specializes in bearings and seals. SKF is shortened from Svenska Kullagerfabriken (Swedish ball bearing factory).

By 1912, SKF was represented in 32 countries, and by 1930 it had 12 factories worldwide. The largest was in Philadelphia.
